We hiked the Marshall Gulch trail last Sunday which follows a creek most of the way up to a ridge where it meets several other trails, including the Wilderness of Rocks trail and the Aspen trail. There's lots of vegetation and wildlife along the trail and I captured this butterfly working one of the many varieties of flowers along the trail. As I was framing the shot, a bee flew into the frame and started working the same cluster of flowers. This image was taken with my 75-300mm telephoto at 300mm focal length and an exposure of 1/640 seconds at f/5.6, ISO 200. |
