IR Canyon de Chelly, take 2

Here's another IR shot of Canyon de Chelly. This iamge was taken at 5.8mm focal length (37mm equivalent) with an exposure of 1.0 seconds at f/2.6, ISO 200 with a Hoya R72 filter on my Canon A570is.

Gotta love that IR. Those Canon cameras aren't really made for IR because of the "hot glass" filter they put in front of their detectors. As you know - long exposures and lots of noise are the norm for them. Pick yourself up an old Sony 707 or 717 - you can use "night shot" mode and get ride of the hot glass - much shorter exposures and less noise!
