B&W Lizard
I found this lizard on the rocks outside one of our domes on Kitt Peak last time I was up there. I had been shooting in IR using B&W mode on my 20D and forgot to shift the camera parameters back to "normal". This turned out well despite my best efforts. This image was taken at 300mm focal length with an exposure of 1/320 seconds at f/11, ISO 200.

very crisp picture! in fact how big is the creature?
You're seeing the front 3-4 inches of a 6-8 inch long lizard. I was happy with how sharp it turned out, but a bit of sharpening didn't hurt it either. The very busy scene masks any inherent softness in the lens. I chased him and a companion of the same brand around the rocks for a minute or two before they finally vanished under the boulders I was on.
