Fire devastation

As we started our climb to the summit, we had to hike through an area that used to be a beautiful pine forest which was reduced to this burnt out moonscape during the Florida fire in 2005. This image was taken at 70mm focal length with an exposure of 1/100 seconds at f/8, ISO 100.
